    En el transcurso del siglo XIX tiene lugar la definitiva consolidación de la guitarra de seis cuerdas simples, con la apariencia y afinación que conocemos en la actualidad, evolución que podemos constatar a partir de los cuadros e ilustraciones de varios artistas de la época.
