  • The measure of time is a quest that has acompanied mankind since its origin thousands of years ago. Although the nature of time is still unknown, humans have made huge progress in the techniques to measure it. Such is the precission reached in the measurement of time that some of our basic measurement units, like the meter, depend currently on measurements of time. This article makes a historical trip from ancient calendars to clocks, making some stops on scientific and technical details that have played an important role on the development of the current time system.
