    Al dar noticia de los contenidos del mundo, el viaje oceánico portugués ofreció al proceso intelectual renacentista la experiencia imprescindible para construir las bases del mundo moderno. Esas noticias se divulgaron rápidamente por Europa y, a su vez, se en-trelazaron con las antiguas creencias y se inmiscuyeron en las novedosas e humanistas for-mas de explicación de la realidad.

This news spread rapidly throughout Europe and, at the same time, intertwined with both older beliefs and the new humanist ways of explaining reality.
