El concepto de Patrimonio ha experimentado una constante evolución en el mundo contemporáneo. Desde el siglo XIX hasta nuestros días, los criterios de lo que debe conservarse proveniente de los antepasados para el disfrute de las generaciones futuras han aumentado notablemente. A partir del fin de la Segunda Guerra Mundial el término Patrimonio se ha acompañado de los calificativos Cultural, Natural o Inmaterial, que reflejan esta nueva dimensión. El potencial educativo de todo este acervo también ha sido considerado desde perspectivas más amplias. La posibilidad de establecer un aprendizaje integral, basado en una experiencia diferente que aúna elementos de la educación formal, no formal e informal, conceden a la Educación Patrimonial un interesante atractivo. En la Comunidad de La Rioja este potencial está comenzando a desarrollarse, indicándose en este artículo algunas de sus posibles líneas de actuación.
The concept of Heritage has suffered a continuous evolution at the contemporary world. From Nineteenth Century to our days the selection criteria of what must be preserved –stemming from our ancestors, and for the enjoyment of the next generations -have been increased. Since Second World War, the term of Heritage has been accompanied by the words Cultural, Natural or Intangible, that reflect this new dimension. The educational potential of that whole cultural tradition has been considered from wide perspectives. The possibility of establishing an comprehensive learning, supported on a different experience that joins several elements from formal education, no formal education and informal education, concede an interesting attractive to the Heritage Education. This potential is starting to develop in La Rioja Community. In this article some courses of action are indicated.
