  • The article highlights the Fifth Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) hosted by South Africa on March 27, 2013 which provides an opportune time to reflect on the achievements of BRICS. It notes the development of BRICS into a significant catalyst for global change that captured the imagination of the global community in a comparatively short period of time. It suggests for South Africa and the African continent to take its right place in the new equitable world order
