The reality of the "subjest of rights" is as old as humanity. The blood of Abel that cries out to God from the earth is expressive of the idea that violation of a right is violence done to a respective subject. In the Church and in Canon Law, however, the natural man becomes a person upon elevation to the supernatural plane through Baptism. By Baptism a man becomes a person is either a physical or a juridical one. If the latter, it may be either simply juridical or also a moral person.
