  • The author treats of the theme of knowledge and love in the experience of faith that builds up the Church. Only a knowledge ("conoscenza") that becomes a "celebration of remembrance" and "thanksgiving" ("riconoscenza") allows for full knowledge of the truth of faith. In Jesus Christ this form of knowledge becomes a sacrament of thanksgiving, a Paschal celebration. The Church draws her life from this celebration of remembrance - or "memorial" - bearing witness and celebrating, so that knowledge truly becomes love, and the Christian experience a feast of faith.
