El presente ensayo versa sobre la condición existencial de la temporalidad y pone de manifiesto el vínculo inexorable entre el tiempo, la vivencia y la memoria subjetiva, claves definitorias del yo. Uno de los objetivos primordiales es reflexionar acerca de la inseparabilidad del problema de la yoidad y el de la temporalidad. Para ello, trataremos de considerar hasta qué punto la construcción del yo está impregnada y sustentada por su dimensión histórico-narrativa.
La tesis que se plantea podría enunciarse así: la temporalidad es el carácter determinante de la experiencia humana y de su condición narrativa, independientemente de su manifestación. Así, tanto la antigua búsqueda de la eternidad como el culto a la instantaneidad serían formas de narración subjetivas, donde la temporalidad emerge como la única vía posible de comprensión.

This essay deals with the existential condition of temporary nature and highlights the inexorable link between time, experience and subjective memory, keys to define the self. One of the main objectives is to reflect on the inseparability of the problem of selfhood and that of temporary nature. Thus, we will try to consider up to what point is the construction of the self imbued and sustained by its historical and narrative dimension. The thesis here is that temporary nature is the decisive nature of human experience and its narrative condition regardless of its manifestation. In that way, both the ancient quest for eternity and the cult of immediacy would be subjective narrative forms, where temporary nature emerges as the only possible way of understanding.
