Wildly conflicting estimates about how much consumers will pay for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act�s (ACA�s) insurance exchanges next year reflect politics and the complexity of the insurance market, according to health economists and insurance experts convened by the Alliance for Health Reform for a panel discussion in mid-August. The panel explained the myriad factors that will influence premium rates in the exchanges and offered assurances that fears about �rate shock� may be overblown.
