On the occasion of the 550th anniversary of the 17th ecumenical council of Florence, which produced good ecumenical fruits, particularly in the field of trinitarian theology (the decree "Laetentur Caeli", the author demonstrates how even among the oriental Fathers there had always been present from the initial stages the doctrine correlated to the "Filioque" of the Nicene-Cnstantinople Symbol. He makes special emphasis on two factors: 1. the continuity of the doctrine of the Council of Constantinople I (381) till the Council of Nicene II (787)
