La mitificación de Constantino empezó muy pronto y tiene sus raíces en la Vita constantini de Eusebio de Cesarea. También la deconstrucción del mito es temprana, comienza en el s. V y arrancaría de la Nueva Historia de Zósimo. El artículo trata de la reconstrucción de ese mito en Zósimo y en la historiografía posterior, particularmente en Gibbon y Burckhardt, hasta crear una especie de mito opuesto o antimito.
The mitification of Constantinus the Great begins very early, it starts by Eusebius of Cesarea and his Vita Constantini. Also dthe deconstruction of the myth is early. It starts in Zosimus� New History. This paper délas with the historiographical deconstruction of the myth which begins with that work of Zosimus and particulary with tose of Gibbon and Burckhardt, up to create another sort of antimiyth.
