Resumen de Los Parques Patrimoniales: un Instrumento de Desarrollo Sostenible

  In the last years, the regional economic development has integrated basic strategic tools: the concepts of "cultural landscape" and "heritage park". Both are a sustainable approach, which combine the conservation and the territorial development.

  During the first decades of the 21th century, the concepts of "cultural landscape" and "heritage park" have appeared on the scene of the regional science as an opportunity for the future for a territory with a specific topic, a singular history, proper means of access, landscapes with high valor and a collective cultural identity. In this sense, we study an specific project focused on the heritage park of the Nile river between the modern town of Aswan and the First Cataract.

  The decline of the landscape undergone in this area during the last years together with the opportunities of development of its millenary landscape convert this proposal into an optimal alternative based on an attractive touristic activity, which avoids a major deterioration. Moreover, it is an incentive for the culture, the local identity and the economic development.

  O desenvolvimento económico regional conta nos últimos anos com instrumentos estratégicos fundamentais, como são os conceitos de paisagem cultural e parque patrimonial, que constituem uma forma sustentável de englobar a conservação e o desenvolvimento territorial.

  Nas primeiras décadas do século XXI aparecem estes conceitos na ciência regional como uma oportunidade de futuro para um território que tem uma temática específica, uma história singular, paisagens de grande valor e uma identidade cultural coletiva. Este é o caso do espaço onde se desenvolve o projeto que propomos, o parque patrimonial do rio Nilo entre a cidade de Assuão e a Primeira Catarata.

  A deterioração paisagística que se está a produzir neste lugar nos últimos anos, junto às oportunidades de desenvolvimento que oferece essa paisagem cultural milenária são os motivos que convertem esta proposta em uma ótima alternativa para sua conservação e também para oferecer uma atividade turística atraente, que enriquece a cultura, a identidade local e o desenvolvimento económico.
