Resumen de La biblioteca e l'architettura, una non doppiabile duplicità.

Alfredo Giovanni Broletti

  • This article suggests a reflection starting from the twin meaning that binds together library and architecture through a kind of journey in search of the concept of truth. In Bibliography, truth arises with text reading, whereas in Architecture it takes shape by a connection between body of rules and a hard harmony as required by functional needs. The quoted idea about library codification, contains a typical shape, so-called peculiarity and it set down the theory according to whom, through mediation of reading, signs lose their value of depiction (so to become experience). For this reason the Faulkner-Brown’s ten principles seem to be up-to-date too; for example during the unclear definition of extendible, it specifies a double value: a real one and a virtual one.
