Resumen de Zoltán Kodály: creador del arte del canto coral polifónico contemporáneo en Hungría vigencia y proyecciones de su obra

Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967) compositor, etnomusicólogo, filólogo y pedagogo húngaro emprendió la misión de sacar a Hungría, en las primeras décadas del siglo XX, del bajo nivel de su vida musical y de alfabetizarla musicalmente. Esta misión fue realizada a través del canto coral. Construyó, gradual y sistemáticamente, un sistema que condujo de la homofonía de tradición alemana a la polifonía. Como investigador y compositor, utilizó los sistemas tonales descubiertos, pentatonía y diatonía, más las técnicas contrapuntísticas renacentistas y barrocas. En la construcción de un idiolecto musical singular, unió las tradiciones milenarias de la etnomúsica y sus sistemas tonales con la creación de nuevos sistemas tonales de su creación; y de nuevas armonías y lenguajes expresivos.
El artículo presente realiza un análisis de esta construcción gradual de su obra coral y de su vigencia y proyecciones en el mundo globalizado del siglo XXI.

Zoltán Kodály(1882-1967), renowned Hungarian composer, ethnomusicologist, philologist and pedagogue undertook the task of renewing Hungarian musical life and spreading musical literacy.He realized this mission through choral works, by gradually and sistematically building a system that lead from the German homophonic tradition to polyphony.He was an investigator and a composer, in his compositions he used the new tonal systems he discovered during his investigations, as well as pentatony, diatony plus baroque and renaissance counterpoint.In his newly constructed idiolect he united the millenary traditions of ethnic music and its tonalities with new tonal systems and harmonies of his own creation. The aim of this article is to give an analysis of the radical change in the musical aesthetics and practice that Kodály's work created in contrast with the 19th centuries Hungarian compositions, with a special emphasis on vocal music, the gradual construction of his choral works and the validity and projections of his work in the 21st century.
