    Este artículo presenta las características de la economía algodonera en el departamento del Atlántico durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. La relación entre las industrias textiles, las asociaciones gremiales y los algodoneros serán el objeto primordial de nuestro análisis. En tal sentido, el trabajo busca reconstruir las dinámicas sociales, culturales y políticas que hubo alrededor de la economía del algodón.

    This article presents the characteristics of the cotton economy of the departamento del Atlántico during the first half of the twentieth century. The relationship between the textile industries, trade associations and the cotton will be the primary object of our analysis.
