Las artes escénicas constituyen un campo de prácticas artísticas y comunicativas cuya manifestación contemporánea desborda los límites disciplinares heredados de la tradición y se orienta hacia la experimentación de formas y artefactos expresivos que abren nuevas perspectivas en la docencia e investigación de los objetos escénicos. El proyecto escénico moderno cuestionó y sometió a revisión crítica la dramaturgia clásica y el modelo comunicativo subyacente, orientado hacia la manipulación del espectador bajo los principios de la mímesis, la causalidad y la identificación. La escena contemporánea, por su parte, se ha propuesto confrontar la distancia estratégica sobre la que descansaba el espectáculo y regulaba la relación con el espectador.

The performing arts are a complex field of artistic, social and communicative practices. The contemporary approach of these practices overflows the disciplinary boundaries inherited from tradition, in orderto experience other forms and expressive projects that offer new perspectives on teaching and researchof scenic objects. The modern scenic project questioned and subjected to critical review the classicaldramaturgy and his underlying communication model, oriented towards the manipulation of the spectator under the principles of mimesis, causality and identification. The contemporary scene, meanwhile,tries to confront the strategic distance on which the spectacle was organized and strategically regulatedthe relationship with the spectator.
