Signos del nuevo paradigma en la educación chilena

    Se exponen algunas de las características de la transición paradigmática que la sociedad viene experimentando y que, por las manifestaciones sociales que se han ido observando, parece estar llegando a su fin. Existen algunos rasgos distintivos que tendría el transitar como sociedad hacia un conocimiento- emancipación donde la comunidad y la solidaridad constituyen una forma central del saber (Santos, 2003).

    La comunidad y la solidaridad son algunas particularidades que la modernidad no ha considerado y ellas son, precisamente, las que permitirían pensar en otras opciones de sociedad y educación. En ese contexto, se realiza una reflexión sobre características del sistema educacional en Chile.

    Sobre la base de una investigación realizada con jóvenes estudiantes chilenos relacionado con sus discursos acerca de la participación, se establece una aproximación a las señales de esta transición paradigmática. El trabajo mencionado permite, por un lado, tener un acercamiento a la realidad de cómo los y las jóvenes de hoy, adultos del mañana, perciben la cultura educativa y, por otro, cómo se va gestando en los jóvenes el malestar con el sistema, especialmente en el funcionamiento del aparato educacional.

    There are presented some of the characteristic of the paradigmatic transition that society is experiencing and that, due to the social demonstrations that have taken place seems to be coming to an end are presented.

    Some distinctive features are shown in the society´s movement toward knowledge-emancipation, where the community and solidarity constitute a central form of knowledge (Santos 2003).

    Community and solidarity are some peculiarities that modernity has not considered, and they are precisely those which would allow thinking of other possibilities of society and education. In this context, reflection is made about the characteristics of the Chilean educational system.

    On the basis of a research done with young Chilean students´ speechs about participation an approach to the signs of the paradigmatic transition is established. On the one hand, this study allows an approach to the reality of how young people today, tomorrow adults, perceive the culture of education, and on the other hand, how the dissatisfaction with the education system grows, especially in the structure of the education system.
