    Los escasos estudios centrados en la presencia de extranjeros en Gipuzkoa han estado estrechamente vinculados al proceso de hidalguía universal. Existen algunas pocas excepciones, entre las que destaca el caso los gascones. Aún así, tanto para la Baja Edad Media como para los primeros compases de la Edad Moderna, apenas existen estudios que traten sobre la presencia o asentamiento en Gipuzkoa de gente procedente de otras latitudes, tanto de lugares relativamente cercanos como de otros más lejanos. A través de estas líneas, intentaremos acercarnos a un caso muy significativo en la Provincia: el de la bahía pasaitarra durante el siglo XV e inicios del XVI. Nos centraremos de forma especial en Pasai San Pedro y Pasai Donibane, aunque sin olvidar los datos que disponemos para poblaciones cercanas como Rentería

    Gipuzkoan atzerritarrek izan duten presentziaren inguruan egin diren ikerketa gehienak, aitonsemetza unibertsalaren prozesuaren ildotik burutu dira. Badaude salbuespen batzuk, gaskoien kasua, esate baterako. Alabaina, lan horiez gain, Behe Erdi Aroa eta Aro Berriaren hasiera jorratzen dutenak oso gutxi dira eta oraindik oso gutxi dakigu garai haietan Gipuzkoan finkatu ziren kanpotarren inguruan.     The study about the presence of foreigners in Gipuzkoa has been a theme very closed to the development of the universal nobility process. There are some exceptions. The most famous is the case of the gascons, specially in the cases of San Sebastian and Hondarribia. But, unfortunately, except this case, very few studies research about the settlement of these foreigners in Gipuzkoa during the XVth century and the first decades of the XVIth. We don't know very much about people who came from other latitudes, nor from nearer zones, neither from Europe. The next time will try to analize the very significant example of the bay of Pasaia. We will study specially the cases of Pasai San Pedro and Pasai Donibane, but bearing other comunities like Errenteria in mind.
