Resumen de Heberprot-P. Disminuye las amputaciones mayores en pacientes con úlcera del pie diabético

  Las complicaciones de la diabetes mellitus, la úlcera del pie diabético, constituye un problema sanitario con una importante repercusión social y económica. El desarrollo del programa de atención integral a pacientes con úlcera del pie diabético ha tenido resultados satisfactorios en nuestro centro.

  Pretendemos con nuestro trabajo investigativo demostrar la reducción del índice de amputaciones mayores por úlcera de pie diabético, con el uso del Heberprot�P.

  Se incluyeron 214 pacientes que recibieron tratamiento, presentaron lesiones clasificadas de grado 3, 4,5 según Wagner Merrit, la evolución de los pacientes fue satisfactoria, 201 salvaron su extremidad para un (93.93%), fueron amputados 13 pacientes para (6.08%). Se aprecia una significativa reducción del índice de amputaciones mayores en los pacientes tratados con Heberprot- P, hechos que avalan la importancia de su empleo local en el pie diabético.

  The Diabetes Mellitus complication, diabetic foot ulcers, is an unmet medical need of significant social and economical impact. The development of an integral care program for patients with diabetic foot ulcers, have has relevant results our center.

  Is objective of this investigation to demonstrate the reduction mayor amputation in patienst with diabetic foot ulcers, associated with the use of the Heberprot-P.

  If included 214 patienst who were treated with Heberprot-P, most patients lesions grade 3, 4, and 5 based on Wagner clasification, the evolution of the patients lesions was satisfactory, 201 patients saved their legs (with 93.93%), thirteen patients (6.07%) were been amputated. We obtain a significative reduction in the mayor amputation rate in the group that received local treatment with Heberprot-P, facts that show the importance of this local treatment in the wound healing of the diabetic foot.
