  With a new method - homogeneity analysis (HG Analysis) of tree growth - dendrochronology breaks new ground. These HG patterns are - in contrast to the width of annual rings - neither tied to a tree-species nor a climate region, but instead show a global similarity.

  The periodically fluctuations in the radiation spectrum of the sun. The precipitation of Western Europe and Asia can also be shown to be subject to this rhytm. Consequently, the HG curve is also useable for climate reconstruction.

  What is more, the variation shows inclinations toward relatively maritime, or to be more precise, continental climates in Western Europe that, notably, agree to a significant extent with archaeological finds.

  Un nouveau procédé, appelé analyse d'homogénéité (HG Analyse) de la croissance des arbres, ouvre de nouveaux horizons à la dendrochronologie. Contrairement à l'épaisseur des cernes de croissance annuelle, les analyses HG ne sont corrélées ni à une essence, ni à une région climatique particulière. Ces données s'expriment d'une même façon globale. Le degré d'oscillation temporel de l'harmonie de croissance dans le spectre de rayonnement du soleil. Même les précipitations dÈurope occidentale et d'Asie sont tributaires de ce rythme. La courbe HG s'avère ainsi utile pour la reconstitution du climat. Au-delà de cela, la variation décrit des inflexions vers des conditions climatiques plutôt maritimes, voire continentales en Europe occidentale. Ces inflexions se superposent très fréquemment et de façon remarquable aux données archéologiques.

  Mit einem neuen Verfahren - Homogenitätsanalyse (HG Analyse) des Baumwachstums - betritt die Dendrochronologie Neuland. Diese HG Muster sind - in Gegensatz zur Breite der Jahresringe - weder an eine Baumart noch an eine Klimaregion gebunden, sie sind sogar global ähnlich ausgeprägt. Der zeitlich schwankende Grad der Wuchsübereinstimmung in der errechneten 8000-jährigen HG Kurve reflektiert Schwankungen im Strahlungsspektrum der Sonne. Auch die Niederschläge Westeuropas und Asiens unterliegen nachweislich diesem Rhythmus. Somit ist auch die HG Kurve zur Klimarekonstruktion nutzbar. Die Variation beschreibt darüber hinaus Neigungen zu eher maritimen bzw. kontinentalen Wetterlagen Westeuropas, die sich bemerkenswerterweise auch mit archäologischen Befunden überdurchschnittlich häufig decken.
