Resumen de William Pearce: His vision of trees

Sue Anne Donaldson

  • Not until 1870, faced with rapid American expansion westward and northward, did the Canadian government move to administer directly its Northwest Territory, a vast, unsettled area, five times the size of the original Dominion. Under the Department of the Interior the whole of the area that now comprises the Provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta was surveyed in preparation for settlement.
