  • Resumen
    • The classic temple gardens of medieval Japan are not exclusively Japanese gardens, although they are often presented as such. The phylogenetic lineage of the temple gardens of Japan includes features inherited from China, India, and Korea. While study of the history of the Zen Buddhist temple gardens of medieval Japan emphasizes features inherited from China and to some extent Korea, it excludes features inherited from India.
