Resumen de Vetas de la imaginación: fantasía inglesa posromántica y realismo mágico

El peso de la herencia epistemológica kantiana se tradujo, en el ámbito de la Estética, en una radical subjetividad que, al procurar la emancipación del objeto respecto del sujeto que conoce, derivó en el imperio del gusto personal y la renuncia, por tanto, a aceptar juicios universalmente válidos. En gnoseología esta oposición ha llevado a una consideración peyorativa de la imaginación. El empeño romántico dejó abierta la puerta del subjetivismo y, sobre todo, de la duda sobre el estatuto ontológico de la inuentio narrativa.
En las páginas que siguen planteo la necesidad de una reformulación de los términos para comprender a fondo las causas de la confusión entre realismo, magia, imaginación, fantasía y verosimilitud, entre otras. Solo en una perspectiva estética cabe entender la redundancia epistemológica �más allá de la licitud de los géneros� que esconde el término �realismo mágico� a causa de una incompleta comprensión de las nociones de �realidad� y �verdad�.

The weight of the inheritance received from Kant in terms of Epistemology was transformed, in the field of Aesthetics, into a radical subjectivity. The absolute separation between the object and the observer led to the predominance of personal, individual taste and the withdrawal to accept universally valid judgements. The opposition soon pointed to a pejorative consideration of imagination. No matter the intention of Romanticism, the menace of subjectivism is still present, as far as the main concern is still referred to the ontological status of narrative inuentio. In this paper I deal with the need of a deep revision of some key notions to fully understand the reasons of confusion when we come to realism, magic, imagination, fantasy, and credibility, to name a few. It is only in an Aesthetical outlook that we can identify the epistemological tautology that lies beneath the notion of �magic realism� because of a defective understanding of the notions of �reality� and �truth�.
