Pallucchini, Marchiori and Apollonio, three important historians and critics of modern and contemporary Italian art, established a crucial and deep cultural relationship in Venice from 1942 to 1947. The starting point for these historians is the strong analogy between some great Italian artists, as Gino Rossi, Rento Birolli, Giuseppe Santomaso, Emilio Vedova, and the best European ones in the last century. The common language of Italian and Europen artists reflects for these critics the most dynamic features of art of Venice since those years.
