  • The article is focused on the beginnings of Rodolfo Pallucchini as a contemporary art critic and in particular on his relationship with Giuseppe Marchiori, who influenced him deeply during the Thirties and the beginning of the Fourties. Their friendship is testified by an interesting group of letters kept in the Marchiori's Archive of Lendinara, in which they discussed about art and artists and they often showed to have the same interests and the same taste, as also their articles on painters like Giuseppe Santomaso, Mino Maccari and Scipione prove.
