    • The Granada Depression, located in the central sector of the Betic Cordilleras, is an intramountain depression filled mainly by detritic, evaporite and carbonate rocks since Miocene. Gravity anomaly minima are associated to the main depocentres or to the Triassic rocks of Keuper facies, located in the basin basement. Gravity models show the asymmetric character of most of the depocenters, that constitute half-graben structures bounded by normal faults. These faults are responsible of the structure of the basin and have developed mainly in a NE-SW extensional setting. The most intense magnetic anomalies are located in the southeastern sector of the Depression and are related to shallow bodies of amphibole schists of the Alpujarride Complex
