  • Several karstic and reel-originated aquifers of Eocene limestones are located in Sierra Aitana (Alicante, Spain) being the most important one that of Sella. This one still shows non influenced regime with ubiquos springs. This is the only unexploited aquifer in a very water-demanding zone, with several other overexploited. At a first research phase the Sella aquifer has been defined through hidrogeologic detailled mapping, geophysical survey and piezometry with precision levelling
