    Il saggio prende in esame gli aulicismi utilizzati da Alessandro Verri nei suoi articoli pubblicati nel Caffè e nel romanzo antiquario, le Notti Romane. Precedono il glossario un’introduzione, che illustra gli strumenti e spiega i criteri con il quale è stato redatto, e una breve nota sul materiale schedato, che prova a metterne in luce la qualità e le caratteristiche d’uso nei due testi. Tra l’altro, il confronto tra il periodico e il romanzo permette di ipotizzare diversi gradi di aulicità per le voci. In conclusione è dedicato qualche commento più approfondito alle Notti Romane e all’ingente massa di aulicismi presenti in quelle pagine.

    The essay examines the aulic terms used by Alessandro Verri in his articles published in Caffè and in the antiquarian novel, le Notti Romane. The glossary is preceded by an introduction that illustrates the tools and explains the criteria with which it has been redacted, and a brief note on the filed materials, which tries to highlight the quality and the characteristics of use in the two texts. Among other things, the comparison between the magazine and the novel allows one to speculate on the different degrees of aulic style for the entries. In the conclusion there are some deeper comments on the Notti Romane and the huge mass of aulic terms present in those pages.
