El arte al encuentro de la antropología: reflexiones y diálogos posibles

    En las Ciencias Sociales, la discusión sobre el arte y la antropología no es un tema novedoso, aunque todavía su incidencia en las investigaciones contemporáneas es un hecho poco recurrente.

    Para ejemplificar la importancia de seguir con esta problematización, �pensando siempre que ambas disciplinas podrían apoyarse y enriquecerse metodológica y teóricamente� este artículo tiene el propósito de presentar algunas relaciones posibles entre arte y antropología, enfocándose, por un lado, en las contribuciones realizadas por la antropología visual contemporánea a través del trabajo realizado por el Archivo Fotográfico Indígena, en México; y por otro lado, desde el campo artístico, reflexionar sobre la obra de la artista Teresa Pereda, cuya poética visual presenta apropiaciones que suelen ser características del quehacer antropológico: la mirada sobre el otro y su cultura. De acuerdo con los resultados encontrados en este texto, se reforzó la premisa de que la antropología puede aprender del arte en las formas de pensar lo visual, sobre todo, a la hora de construir el texto antropológico y que, a la vez, ésta contribuye a repensar los abordajes sobre las diferencias culturales tan presentes en las poéticas de algunos artistas contemporáneos.

    The discussion in social sciences about arts and anthropology is not a new topic, although its influence on the contemporary researches is still a not so recurring fact. Exemplifying the importance of continuing with this problematic matter, �always thinking that both disciplines could methodologically and theoretically support and enrich each other� this article aims at presenting some possible relationships between arts and anthropology, focusing, on one hand, on the contributions accomplished by the contemporary visual anthropology through the work done by the Indigenous Photo Archive in Mexico, and on the other hand, to think, from the artistic filed, about Teresa Pereda� work, whose visual poetic presents appropriations that are usual features in the anthropological task:

    the look on others and their culture. According to the results found in this text, it is reinforced the premise that anthropology can learn from arts ways of thinking the visual thing, overall, when building the anthropological text, and that, anthropology in turn contributes in reconsidering the way to deal with the cultural differences, so recurrent in the poetic of some contemporaneous artists.
