    Los valores son creencias que se encuentran organizadas jerárquicamente y sirven de guía al comportamiento humano.Ésta investigación tuvo como propósito identificar los valores ambientales presentes en distintas versiones del mito de María Lionza. Este mito desde su génesis involucra una gama de conocimientos ancestrales donde la valoración del ambiente juega un papel fundamental. La investigación es documental interpretativa cuyas fuentes de información fueron las diversas versiones del mito de María Lionza halladas en documentos electrónicos e impresos. Los resultados permitieron determinar los valores ambientales que sustentan el mito y así obtener su base axiológica para entender las acciones de los creyentes del culto durante sus prácticas sociales y mítico-religiosas.

    The values are beliefs that are organized hierarchically and they serve from guide to the human behavior. This investigation had as purpose to identify the values environmental presented in different versions of María Lionza myth. This myth from its genesis involves a range of ancestral knowledge where the valuation of the environmental plays a fundamental role. The investigation is documental interpretive whose sources of information were the diverse versions of María Lionza myth found in electronic and impress documents. The results allowed determining the environmental values that sustain the myth and this way to obtain their axiological base to understand the actions of the believers of the cult during their social and mythical-religious practices
