En esta investigación se realizó una valoración de los elementos que distinguen la labor cultural de Dioscóride T. Borges Fuerte y sus aportes al desarrollo cultural de Las Tunas, a través de la significación de su quehacer cultural, para convertirse en un artesano Luthiers de gran relevancia. Se pretende lograr el reconocimiento de una personalidad de la cultura, ilustrando en el documento contentivo de su historia de vida sus aportes y contribuciones desde la luthiería al desarrollo cultural de la provincia. En la investigación se hizo uso de la Historia de Vida como método cualitativo para lograr un acercamiento a la vida de Borges y revelar sus aportes al desarrollo cultural a través de su contribución a la música, la construcción de guitarras, formación de nuevas generaciones e innovación en la luthiería. El alcance y trascendencia de la obra de este eminente Luthiers sobresale entre músicos, profesores, estudiantes, personalidades de la cultura y constructores de guitarras en todo el país.

In this investigation it was carried out a valuation of the elements that distinguish the cultural work of Dioscóride T. Borges Fuerte and their contributions to the cultural development of Las Tunas, through the significance of their cultural chore, to become an artisan Luthiers of great relevance. It is sought to achieve the recognition of a personality of the culture, illustrating in the document that contains their history of life their contributions and taxes from the luthiería to the cultural development of the county. In the investigation it was made use of the History of Life like qualitative method to achieve an approach to Borges' life and to reveal their contributions to the cultural development through their contribution to the music, the construction of guitars, formation of new generations and innovation in the luthiería. The reach and transcendency of the work of the eminent Luthiers stands out among musicians, professors, students, personalities of the culture and manufacturers of guitars in the whole country.
