    Uno de los edificios más singulares de la arquitectura de ocio del siglo XX en Zorita fue el «Cine Avenida» (1956-1957). Al margen de su sentido en la historia local, el edificio posee importancia tanto por la estética decó de su fachada como por la atribución a dos personalidades de relieve en la arquitectura cacereña de la época: el arquitecto Ángel Pérez y el aparejador Fernando Perianes. En el presente estudio, no obstante, se defiende la autoría de Fernando Perianes, en tanto que se demuestra que Ángel Pérez se limitó a la mera firma administrativa del proyecto. También se analiza la reforma efectuada en 1999 por el arquitecto Pablo Fernández Bernal.

    One of the most singular buildings of the type of architecture for leisure in the 20th century was the «Avenida Cinema» (1956-1957). Apart from its meaning in local history, the building is important both because of the deco aesthetics of its façade and the participation of two relevant architects of the period in Cáceres: Ángel Pérez and Fernando Perianes (surveyor). However, this article defends the idea that the author was Fernando Perianes, while Ángel Pérez simply signed the plans for administrative purposes. The article also analyses the 1999 refurbishment of the building carried out by architect Pablo Fernández Bernal.
