  • Resumen
    • Objectives: To evaluate the quality of health information on the web addressed to patients with HIV+ infections. Method: A research was conducted on different health database in April 2012. Two tools were applied and contrasted to determine the quality of websites: the HON-code acreditation and an adapted self evaluation questionnaire of the ACSA (Health Qualitiy Agency of Andalucia) applied for the health websites acreditation. To assess the importance of the different sections, we formed a group of 14 experts by using the Delphi method. Finally, we analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the analyzed websites. Results: Fifty webs were analyzed. Only two http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ spanish/ and http://gtt-vih.org reached the excellent level. The credibility and accessibility were emphasized among the strengths. The attribution of contents and provision of electronic services prevailed among the improving points. Conclusions: The quality of the revised webs is acceptable although only two webs complied the criteria of excellence
