    Entre 1941 y 1977 se presentaron ante Junta de Censura de Obras Teatrales una veintena de textos de Valle-Inclán, que obtuvieron dictámenes muy distintos dependiendo tanto de los propios textos como de la época en que fueron sometidos a censura; también influyeron en estos dictámenes otra serie de factores, como la propia imagen que se quería dar de la censura española, la opinión de los herederos del autor o la celebración del centenario del dramaturgo en 1966

    Between 1941 and 1977 some twenty texts by Valle-Inclán were presented before the Works of Theater Censorship Board, eliciting very different responses, depending upon the texts themselves and the period in which they underwent censorship; another series of factors also influenced these decisions, such as the image which authorities wished to project of Spanish censorship, the opinion of the author�s heirs, and the celebration of the playwright�s centennial in 1966
