La negación en el discurso político-económico de Zapatero

    El objetivo de este artículo es identificar las principales modalidades de negación relacionadas con la crisis económica en los discursos de comparecencia del presidente del Gobierno español, José Luís Rodríguez Zapatero, ante el Pleno. A través de un análisis cualitativo de dichos discursos, se intenta demostrar cómo el lenguaje político-económico del gobierno ha evolucionado desde formas de negación evidente de la crisis económica a formas lingüísticas más sutiles que recurren a la negación para describir una situación totalmente nueva que exige nuevas respuestas. Esta evolución responde a un intento de alinearse con el discurso político-económico neoliberal de dimensión europea y mundial sin abandonar el marco ideológico propio, marco en el que se activan mecanismos discursivos que permiten al líder evitar un tema delicado desde los principios del Socialismo y, al mismo tiempo, defender la propia gestión económica, apoyándose en una �propaganda de integración� que invita al destinatario del discurso a aceptar el status quo.

    The aim of this paper is to identify the linguistic modalities of negation in José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero�s speeches on the economic crisis, delivered to Parliament. Through a qualitative analysis of these texts, I will try to demonstrate how the political-economic language of the government has evolved from simple forms of negation of the economic crisis to more subtle linguistic forms based on negation, which present a totally new situation that claims to offer new answers. This evolution reflects an attempt by Rodríguez Zapatero to align his own discourse with the neoliberal political-economic discourse currently in use on a European and global scale, while maintaining his own ideological framework, one which is construed through specific linguistic and rhetorical mechanisms that allow the leader to avoid a delicate topic from the perspective of the ideological tenets of Socialism. At the same time, these strategies provide the speaker with a useful tool for defending the government�s management of the crisis by inviting the hearer to integrate and accept the status quo.
