Con el término Epifanía nos referimos a la representación de los tres Reyes Magos en el momento de adorar al Niño en Belén y ofrecerle sus presentes.
La Epifanía es la primera Teofanía, esto es, la primera manifestación del Hijo de Dios eligiendo a unos gentiles para indicar la universalidad de su mensaje salvífico.
Es uno de los episodios más característicos y representados del Ciclo de la Infancia de Cristo porque con él la Iglesia quiere simbolizar la idea de salvación para toda la humanidad, no solo al pueblo de Israel, como simboliza la Adoración de los Pastores.

The term Epiphany makes reference to the representation of the Three Magi adoring baby Jesus and giving Him their gifts in the manger in Bethlehem.
The Epiphany is considered the first theophany, which means that, by choosing this group of gentiles, the Son of God made his first universal call to salvation.
Furthermore, it is one of the most typical and depicted scenes from the childhood of Christ due to the fact that it alludes to the redemption of humanity whilst the Adoration of the shepherds restricts the divine message to the people of Israel.
