This article intends to discuss the following issues: the migration phenomenon and specifically the idea that the migrants bring with them a subversive sparkle that challenges the territorial sovereignty paradigm. To discuss this hypothesis, our research initially refers to the philosophy of the wall (nationalsovereignty).
This logic distinguishes, in a negative way, the I from the Other, i.e., the national citizen from the foreigner. At a second moment, we seek to expose certain conceptual basis of a logic/philosophy opposed to the philosophy of the wall, that is, the universal-cosmopolitan philosophy. Finally, these two logics (both of them with a large tradition in Western political thought) are examined in an attempt to show how migrant(s) can represent and bring forward a utopian cosmopolitanism that hints at and promotes a world without boundaries
