    El propósito fundamental de la presente investigación, fue proponer un Plan de Competencias Administrativas, para los gerentes deportivos de los Municipios de la Costa Oriental del Lago de Maracaibo. Con un enfoque investigación acción � positivista. La población estuvo conformada por catorce (14) gerentes y/o directores de los entes Deportivos Municipales de la COL, a los cuales se les aplicó un censo poblacional. Para la recolección de la información se diseño un instrumento, tipo cuestionario: conformado por 36 reactivos. Se concluyó que un 70% de los gerentes deportivos de los Municipios de la Costa Oriental del Lago, manejan altamente las funciones gerenciales, aplicación de principios básicos de gerencia, costo � beneficio y, los aportes de su gestión, sin embargo, es importante acotar que el investigador diseño un Plan de Competencias Administrativas a fin de reforzar los conocimientos de los mismos, para ello, convoco al Primer Encuentro de Gerentes Deportivos, donde se discutió la manera de cumplir con sus funciones gerenciales.

    The fundamental intention of the present investigation was to propose a Plan of Administrative Competitions, for the sports managers of the Municipalities of the Oriental Coast of the Lake of Maracaibo. With an approach investigation action - positivist. The population was shaped by fourteen (14) managers and / or directors of the Sports Municipal entities of the COL, to which a population census was applied to them. For the compilation of the information design an instrument, type questionnaire:

    shaped by 36 reagents. One concluded that 70 % of the sports managers of the Municipalities of the Oriental Coast of the Lake, handles highly the managerial functions, application of basic principles of management, cost - benefit and, the contributions of his management, nevertheless, it is important to annotate that the investigator I design a Plan of Administrative Competitions in order to reinforce the knowledge of the same ones, for it, I call for the First Meeting of Sports Managers.
