    This is a critical review of a book by Patxi Baztarrika, former Deputy Minister forLanguage Policy of the Basque Government. The book is shown to be merely a defense of the lin-guistic policy of the successive Basque governments as well as of the linguistic legal framework inforce in the Basque Autonomous Community and the Kingdom of Spain.
