    El autor analiza la evolución de la novela policíaca clásica hacia formas narrativas más complejas, donde lo importante no es la resolución del enigma ni el análisis psicológico de los personajes, si no el ambiente sórdido de la sociedad donde se desarrolla la acción. La novela policíaca clásica vuelve al continente americano y se oscurece convirtiéndose en �novela negra�. La creciente influencia del Cine como medio de comunicación social, y la contratación de muchos autores de renombre como guionistas de la industria cinematográfica del Hollywood de los años 40 y 50 del siglo XX, contribuyeron a la creación del � Cine negro�, género que con otras denominaciones ha perdurado hasta nuestros días.

    The author analyzes the evolution of the classic detective novel into more complex narrative forms, where what matters is not solving the riddle or the psychological analysis of the characters, but the society�s sordid atmosphere where the action unfolds. The classic detective novel returns to the American Continent and it grows dimmer turning into the thriller novel. The growing influence of the cinema as a means of social communication, and the hiring of many renowned authors and screenwriters of the film industry of Hollywood in the 40s and 50s of the twentieth century, contributed to the creation of "Film Noir" genre, and with other denominations has lasted until nowadays.
