    Tema poco tratado bibliográficamente. El asentamiento de unidades militares de forma fija en Cáceres no ha arraigado, a pesar de los esfuerzos de las autoridades municipales, por lo tanto las fuerzas acuarteladas en ella durante el siglo XIX, tras la guerra de la independencia, han sido escasas en números y en tiempo de establecimiento, por lo que prácticamente las unidades que venían, lo hacían de forma rotativa. Comienza el trabajo desde 1835 coincidiendo con el mayor aporte de datos, a través de los libros de enterramientos del Hospital Civil, con lo que se aprovecha para hacer mención de los tres centros hospitalarios que hubo en Cáceres en ese siglo

    The subject has, bibliographilly, been sparsely dealt with.The garrisoning of military Units in Cáceres on a permanent basis never succeeded totally in spite of efforts made by the Local Authorities This resulted in that the Military Forces established there during the XIX Century, after the Peninsular War, were few in number and for short periods, in practical terms giving a rotative character to their commissioning. The work herewith presented, commences in 1835 coinciding with a profussion of data obtained from the burial records of the Civil Hospital, giving the opportunity to mention the three Hospital Centres established in Cáceres during that Century
