    En este artículo se analiza Fregenal de la Sierra en el siglo XVIII a partir del Catastro de Ensenada de 1751, con el objetivo de obtener las características propias de la localidad a través de las respuestas generales. Para conocer su alcance analizaremos las siguientes cuestiones: su estructura general, el contenido de las preguntas y su utilidad para el estudio de la historia de Fregenal de la Sierra. El fin último del artículo es valorar el tipo de información que proporcionan los documentos, para valorar su uso como fuente de investigación y conocer la situación de Fregenal de la Sierra en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII.

    This article analyzes the Sierra Fregenal in the eighteenth century from Ensenada Cadastre 1751, with the aim of obtaining the characteristics of the locality through the general answers.
