We analyse a set of nearly forty pieces of black ceramics found during different archaeological interventions that took place in these last years in the city of Oporto and globally dated from mid 18th to beginnings of the 20th century.
Based on the morfo-typological parameters and on the macroscopic observation of the type of clay, we give some suggestions of the respective production to the productive centres working at the time, hypotheses that have also been tested through the chemical analysis of the clays.
