  • Textual analysis, contrary to exegesis, aims at interpretation, and as such cannot really be repeated ; thus the interest of analysing its rhetorical practice, which pretends to science but ultimately develops a rhetoric of (hidden) persuasion, through argumentation and narrativisation of the text under study — here, Baudelaire's Spleen.
