  • This research advance shows the space where the influence of Plotino C. Rhodakanaty's thought and practical work was felt. It was in the dissident churches that spread all over Mexico due to the liberal Reforma. The Greek and his circle got in touch with Protestants and Mormons and, as this text intends to show, he tried to attract more adepts here among his parishioners. This contact, not always without trouble, is a proof of the interchange that took place between socialism and dissident rites, and allows us to deepen our knowledge of the mechanisms that were used for the diffusion of nineteenth century's ideologies.
