    En este documento se presenta una reflexión que toma como punto de partida la integración de RIA Red de Investigación en Arte, que se realizó en México en mayo de 2011 con la intención de implementar un andamiaje que permita, a quienes se dedican a la investigación en arte, comprendida como reflexión y producción artística, en el ámbito de las instituciones académicas, expandir los horizontes de su quehacer. La propuesta para integrar la Red de Investigación en Arte RIA, respondió a una evidente inquietud por vincular las acciones y reflexiones que en tomo a la teoría y producción artística se realizan en universidades y centros de investigación en México y en el mundo.

    La integración de RIA conduce a considerar la relevancia que tiene hoy en día la investigación en arte, entendida como espacio de reflexión y producción y las formas en que este quehacer se inserta en el espacio la Sociedad Digital. La conformación de la RIA se encontró con la necesidad de generar un sitio en el ciberespacio que facilitara el intercambio de información y experiencias.

    Como estudiosos y productores de arte, consideramos que al incorporarnos a los espacios de la Sociedad Digital y las redes sociales web.02, nos comprometemos con una salvaguarda de la cultura del arte desde el territorio de la significación creativa, la producción de imaginarios y la crítica propositiva.

    This document presents a reflection that takes as a starting point the integration of RIA research network in art, which was held in Mexico in May of 2011 with the intention of implementing a scaffolding that allows, those engaged in research in art, including such as reflection and artistic production, in the field of academic institutions expand the horizons of his work. The proposal to integrate the research network in art RIA, responded to a clear desire to link actions and reflections on the theory and artistic production carried out in universities and research centers in Mexico and in the world. The RIA integration leads to considering the relevance today research in art has understood as a space for reflection and production, and the ways in which this task is inserted in the Digital Society space.

    The formation of the RIA met the need to generate a site in cyberspace to facilitate the exchange of information and experiences. As researchers and art producers, we believe that incorporating us into spaces of the Digital Society and social networks web.02, we commit ourselves with a safeguard of the culture of art from the territory of the creative significance, production of imaginary and purposeful criticism.
