  Numerosas obras de arte andalusies, fundamentalmente piezas suntuarias, incorporan temas relacionables con el "ciclo de la vida principesca". Entre ellos, destaca una escena identificable con la imagen mayestatica del soberano cuyos antecedentes directos se encuentran en el mundo 'abbasí.

  Asimilada por el arte aulico de al-Andalus, se reconoce su eco en la iconografia cristiana peninsular.

  Many Andalusi works of art, mainly sumptuary pieces, incorporate subject matters connected with the cycle of "princely life". Amongst them, there is a scene that can be identified with the majestic image of the sovereign, whose direct antecedents can be traced back to the Abbasid world.

  Once assimilated by the courtly art of al-Andalus, its echo can be recognized in Iberian Christian iconography.
