The willed unreadability of Farès's work is linked to the impossible Maghreb —which means West — he writes from, as three writers' (from Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia) independent but echoing descriptions of circumcision's failure to give access to the Symbolic, show. « Maghreb » texts are written deconstructively, reflecting reading practices at their source : a procedure concomittent to their existence.
