  • The classic theory of literature by a minority in a dominant language sees its insecure practitioners constitute the latter as a « superconscience ». Yet, as three recent American francophone novels show, contemporary strategies exploit passages within a language, and from language to language, transcending or infirming this theory toward Bakhtin's plurilingualism.
