    El control geológico de pozo o Mud Logging es una actividad creciente que juega un papel clave durante la perforación, consiste en la recogida, almacenamiento e interpretación de los datos, tanto geológicos como ingieneriles que se obtienen durante la perforación e informar inmediatamente de cualquier cambio importante en el transcurso de la perforación.
